Delivering the Tough Mudder series of events is no small feat
With 12 events held at different dates and locations across the UK each year, every site presents its own logistical obstacles. Temporary infrastructure is transported, assembled, and disassembled each time, involving a varied network of suppliers, contractors, and teams who all depend on fast, clear communication to make it work.
However, all this complexity resulted in Tough Mudder facing a recurring issue from event to event – inconsistent and unreliable communications. When you’re coordinating thousands of participants, staff, and volunteers, good communication is essential to delivering a successful event.
All this needs to be done on a very tight timescale too. The communication system at each event needs to be fully operational by Thursday, ready for the event weekend, and packed down by Monday. The organisers need absolute confidence that this would happen flawlessly, every time.
