Once the decision has been made to invest in a digital two-way radio system, the radio system installation and delivery is a vital part of the service provided by 2CL. Often overlooked, a top class installation is key to ensuring the longevity of a two-way radio system.
Radio System Installation Considerations
Having conducted detailed coverage surveys, our 2CL engineers will know exactly where to install radio equipment to get the best two-way radio coverage, providing you with seamless communications across the entirety of your premises.
Many factors will have been considered in your bespoke system design, including cable routes, required fixings and physical space requirements. These considerations will be discussed with on-site staff, to ensure that utilities, such as power and network, if required, are available at these locations.
Once final approval has been issued, the 2CL team will start the installation phase. We begin building your system on the receipt of your instruction to supply the radio system.
Some customers also require a ‘Factory Acceptance Trial’ which normally consists of a visit to 2CL’s head office to inspect the equipment and receive a rundown of two-way radio system functionality prior to the equipment being delivered to the site.
The Process of Radio System Installation
Most two-way radio systems will require an element of installation. After over 45 years in the two-way radio industry, we are familiar with many different radio equipment installation methods and are also happy to work around your schedule.
If the system needs to be installed prior to your premises opening or even at weekends in order to avoid disruption, 2CL are happy to accommodate this and will work with you to ensure your system is delivered and installed in line with your specific needs.
Our engineering staff are fully conversant with modern health and safety requirements, familiar with most risks, and are qualified and able to deal with these in a safe manner to progress with your bespoke radio installation.

When installing the Motorola Capacity Plus System at The Southbank Centre in London, the new system needed to be operational before the centre opened. 2CL Engineers were on site at 5 am to carry out the required works for the successful installation.
