Hospital Radio Solutions in London & Hampshire
After the continued support of an analogue radio system for over 7 years, the time came for Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth to upgrade their radio system to a digital radio solution. The complexity of the building and complex ward arrangements meant coverage was the main issue. Working with the Hospital, 2CL Communications were able to advise and upgrade the system to a MOTOTRBO IP Site Connect System and Motorola DP4800 Hand Portables, with distributed antenna systems to ensure full building coverage.
Combined with a TRBOnet Dispatcher System, 2CL were able to assist the Hospital Staff in utilising the advancements in Two Way Radio Digital Technology, offering Telephone Interconnection and Private Calling to improve the hospital’s operations and effectiveness. Queen Alexandra Hospital then took out a Maintenance Contract to ensure that should the system have any issues, 2CL will be in attendance no matter what time of day to bring the system back online, whether the issue is fixed remotely or by a site visit, to ensure the system is operating successfully.
2CL Communications performed a similar upgrade of an analogue two-way radio system to digital for St.Georges University of London. Their new system comprises of MOTOTRBO repeaters and using DP1400 Hand Portables, in digital mode providing double the channel capacity and crystal clear digital audio. Both these systems were installed with the minimal disruption and downtime due to the experience and flexibility of 2CL’s Radio Service Department.
Care Home Radio Solutions
On a smaller scale, but just as important, 2CL Communications is proud to support a chain of care homes across the UK. Initially set up to support the Fire Wardens and the Nursing Staff at one care home, 2CL have been asked to support several more locations across the UK. The compact and lightweight design, and impressive range of digital features of the Hytera PD365 Hand portables were ideal for hospital staff, and operating on an Ofcom Simple Site License offers greater range than the license free solutions.
