As Queen Alexandra Hospital’s estate expanded, its two-way radio fleet grew to over 200 handsets across five channels, and new buildings kept bringing new dead zones, including a hydrotherapy pool where full coverage mattered given the health and safety implications of a pool environment.
2CL closed the gaps with ongoing radio surveys and a dedicated down-tilt antenna, then built a separate Hytera system for the Emergency Department, now running reliably for over six years. A TRBOnet Dispatcher gives the control room full oversight and pulls recordings as evidence when needed, and the partnership with facilities manager Equans has held for more than 25 years.
