Noise Cancellation
A noisy environment can make for an unsafe workplace, the R2 comes with an optional feature SINC+ (additional licence key needed) which is an advanced algorithm designed to eliminate background noise, allowing radio users to communicate easily and safely regardless of the environment background noise.
Durability
Your two-way radio needs to be able to take whatever the environment throws at it and not let you down, the R2 has an IP55 rating, meaning it is protected against dirt, dust and wet weather. As you would expect, the R2 also meets MIL-STD-810 requirements meaning it is a tough radio that will survive your everyday bumps and bruises.
Battery Life
The R2 comes with a choice of two batteries, the PMNN4600 slim battery which gives up to 22.5 hours of use, and the PMNN4598 high capacity battery which gives up to 26.5 hours of life in typical conditions. For a quick check on battery health, simply press the PTT button and an LED blinks red should the battery be getting low on charge.
Size and Weight
Nobody who works with a two-way radio all day wants it to weigh them down all day. Even with the high-capacity battery attached, the R2 weighs in at under 290g and measures just 125mm x 55mm x 37mm, making this one of the smallest, lightest and toughest radios available.
